Installing Adzap
Posted August 1, 2003

To block most annoying banner ads and popups:

  1. Install squid.
  2. Install adzap.
    cd /usr/ports/www/adzap
    make install clean
  3. Install the default adzap configuration file.
    cp -i /usr/local/share/examples/adzap/adzap.conf /usr/local/etc/
  4. Edit /usr/local/etc/squid/squid.conf:
    redirect_program /usr/local/libexec/adzap
  5. Restart squid.
    squid -k reconfigure
